Lil' Cub

We met my parents for supper at The Bear's Den in Elysian tonight. After a lovely meal, we (naturally) went on a bear hunt.

Tracks!

GRRRRRR.

Maybe if we wait, one will cross the road!

Hey, a grandpa bear showed up! As Miles said... "FUNNY!"

Lately

There's been lots of playing going on in this house lately. Here's some evidence...

We didn't even notice that Miles had done this until late last night, long after Miles had gone to bed. It caught Tanner's attention and - needless to say - we had a good laugh! Who said putting toys away can't be fun?!

3 Birthdays = Cake Overload

We've been celebrating a lot of birthdays lately.
First it was Tanner's (daddy's) big day...

Then grandpa had a birthday -

And then THIS grandpa had a birthday -

Uffdah! To top off the month, Auntie Beesie is turning the big (ahem) on Thursday! We'll have Hannah send us some pictures of the special day.
Happy birthday to all of you! We are very glad you were born.

Visitors!

Last week we enjoyed a visit from Grandpa Dave and Great Grandma Helen. Grandpa Dave is retired now, so he can do things like drive to Worthington to get Great Grandma Helen, bring her to our house, and then drive her back home. We're sure glad he likes to drive!
Miles had a good time showing Great Grandma Helen his room, the new deck, and how to color the sidewalk with chalk. He slowed down long enough to take this nice photo --

Then he and Grandpa Dave had to put on their glasses for a closer look at a very cool sticker.

We look forward to seeing Great Grandma Helen again this coming weekend for the annual Turkey Day festivities. A picnic in the park to celebrate Grandpa Dave's birthday and eat cake, followed by a parade...life doesn't get much better when you're almost two!

(p.s. I'm not ignoring the fact that it was Tanner's birthday this past Monday. I actually remembered this year, and we celebrated with a lovely family supper at home. As soon as youtube digests the video I'm trying to upload, I'll post it on here. Stay tuned!)

We love Saturdays!

Saturdays are a favorite day around the Grimmius house in O-town. Why?

Because we can look for weeds...

And pick them!

We can also do important chores, such as sweeping the driveway.

And we take time to stop and smell the flowers. This is something we really should do every day. Sometimes it's just easier on Saturdays.

For some reason I'm ultra sensitive today, and watching Miles play outside made me want to cry. He's turning into such a big boy. It's cute but it's not fair. Life goes by a little too quickly, especially on Saturdays.
