Week 26!

My goodness, how time flies. All along I was thinking Lil' G is 25 weeks old...he/she is 26 weeks already! How can I be a week behind?? Sorry baby.
In any case, here are some updated belly shots to prove that all is well in the womb:

We're heading to Green Bay for the weekend to visit Grandma Brandl and some aunts and uncles...and perhaps a few boys will sneak in a little Packer practice action. I'm sure a camera will be involved, so maybe you'll be treated to a Brett Favre blog posting upon our return!

Sunday, August 19th: 5:30am

Water inching closer to our house...it stopped just over half-way up the driveway:
Looking at the driveway of our neighbors (to the right when facing our house) who unfortunately had water 8 feet deep in their basement:

2-3 inches of water in our basement. Not bad when looking at how much our neighbors have been draining all day!

2 Years of Wedded Bliss!

Tanner and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary today. Hooray! We like being married. It's pretty fun! We started dating waaaaaaay back in February of 1998 and got engaged on Friday, August 13th, 2004.
To help bring back memories of the happy day, I'll post some pictures....

More (w/ moms & dads)

Some more...

And more (my favorite series)...

How many Wal-Mart shoppers does it take to buy a bag of ice?

Observed in Wal-Mart this morning:

Man #1: Oh crap, we forgot to get ice.

Man #2 (to cashier): Hey, ring us up for 4 bags of ice, would ya?

Cashier: Sorry. Can't do it. Already charged your card.

Man #1: Well we want some ice, so just give us 4 of them 5 pound bags over there and I'll run my card through the thingy again.

Tanner: Grrrrrroan.

Cashier: I can't find the code number in this book here, so I'll just go grab a bag and scan it. Wait a minute. (Leaves to go get 5 lb bag of ice)

Tanner: Grrrrrroan.

Man #2: Aaaaagh. Four of them small 5 pound bags ain't gonna be enough. Just give us a 20 pound bag. That should do 'er.

Man #1: Yeah, that should be plenty.

Tanner: Grrrrroan.

Go Chuckie!

Congratulations to my superstar brother Charlie on the completion of yet another half marathon. He tore up the course this morning! I'll let him take care of blogging about the event, but here are some pics to hold you over until after his nap...
Charlie finishing:

and Sven clapping:

Sven ordered cloudy skies and light drizzle for most of the run, but that's okay. We needed the rain, it kept the runners cool, and who would dare argue with those meaty thighs?

It was an enjoyable morning - thanks for the fun, Chuck!
