The Sleepover

"The Sleepover". That sounds like the name of a movie. If there isn't one out there already, we could have filmed it here in Otown last weekend! Ethan and Owen brought their parents down for a slumber party. We had a great time! The kids were (surprisingly) in bed by 8pm so we even had a little time for adult conversation. But don't be fooled...our adult conversations really weren't as mature as it sounds.

Here's my favorite series of photos from the visit -

Three kids reading a book.

Then there were two.

Then one.

Then two.

Then all three again!

Thank goodness we had a patient mommy/auntie willing to put up with all that monkey business!

What a lovely trip!

We're back from our adventures in NC. It was a FABULOUS trip -- extra big hugs and thanks to E&E&h&v for making our visit so enjoyable :) They kept us well entertained. And well fed.
Here are some highlights...

Miles was the perfect travel companion. Although we were eager to get to Hannah's house, I think he secretly wanted the flight to last a little longer.

We celebrated Hannah's birthday by throwing a little fiesta at her school (see the June 3rd entry for pictures of the celebration). That afternoon, we visited an indoor swimming pool but decided to make it look like it was outdoors...

We visited the Children's Museum in Durham where we rode a train.

And a dinosaur!

Then we really DID go to an outdoor pool. It was fun!

We also found time to draw...

and play superhero.

We had a wonderful visit with Grandpappy's cousin Linda (whom Miles affectionally refers to as "cousin"). She put up with all sorts of silly preschool behavior and helped the kids build things with bristle blocks. They were sad to see her go!

Before we knew it, it was also our time to go.

We miss you Auntie Beesie, Uncle Evan, Hannah, and Viv! We'll be back again soon.
