Good news from O-town...the Grimmius household has blinds covering the windows! I think our neighbors are just as thrilled as we are about having a little privacy.

6 Month Anniversary!

Today marks my six month anniversary of working for (with?!) South Country Health Alliance.
Woooo hooooo! My, how time flies...
Since I started on October 23rd, EIGHT more staff members have come on board. Wow! You're not "new" for very long at SCHA.

Golf Opener

Yes, the day has finally arrived for my dear husband....all 18 holes are open for business at the OCC! I am happy for him. He has been patiently waiting for golf season to begin - not only does it mean he gets to hit the course, but it also means he gets to bust out the polo shirts. Yessss!

For me, golf season means Wednesday nights are fun supper nights! While I do miss Tanner's company, I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious box of Stove Top Stuffing for dinner this evening. MMMMM! It was topped off with a cookie and granola bar. Strange, but good. Although now my tummy is kind of rumbling...

So what should I do with the rest of my evening? I kind of want to just hop in bed and read my book, but I also want to crash on the couch and watch TV. Maybe I'll bring my book to the couch and see what happens...

Before I forget, I'd like to thank my loving brother and sister-in-law for their hospitality last night. I had meetings in the cities yesterday and today, so they put me up for the night. Charlie made some tasty chicken on the grill, and Angie scooped up a scrumptious bowl of ice cream for dessert. I think I'll visit them more often :)

Running Opener (or Closer, depending on who you ask)

This morning Charlie, Angie, and I participated in the Running Opener in Minneapolis. It was our second year, and once again we tore apart the course. Charlie brought home the gold medal as he whooped all the male participants, and Angie and I tied for first place out of all the women. It was fantastic! Who would've thunk. Oh wait, that was a dream I had last night.

But we really DID run the 8 mile fun run and I think I can safely say that all three of us actually did have "fun" -- in that weird, creepy runner sort of way. It was a gorgeous morning along the Mississippi River! I won't share all the details because I know Charlie will be blogging about this as well...and chances are good that Angie will be too. So I'll just stop there and let you enjoy some more photos (the one above is a pre-race photo). I can't get them to sit nicely on this page, nor can I get the captions to line up right. I'll learn some day.

It's finally official!

The only part I'm a little worried about is where it says I get my degree with all its privileges and "obligations"....uh oh. What do you suppose THAT means??

Switch flippin'

This clip art thingy reminded me of my dear husband. Tanner just finished another battle with the garbage disposal. This time he won! Thank God.
For the past I-don't-know-how-many nights, Tanner stood in front of the sink after dinner (water running of course) and flipped the disposal switch ON...then OFF...then ON...then OFF...(repeat for about 10 minutes) each time listening closely and looking puzzled over the "funny noise". He was sure that the teenie weenie slices of lemon and lime that I occasionally drop in the disposal were ruining the darn thing. Ugh. Whatever.
I thought the disposal sounded fine -- and if it DID sound funny, it was because its switch was being excessively flipped. I can relate; my switch has been flipped a few too many times this week, as well. Sigh. It's almost Friday.

On a brighter note, the Easter eggs have been hidden for the Potts/Grimmius family hunt on Saturday. I've checked to make sure the various chocolate candies all taste good. They do! And finally, the ham is chillin' in the fridge. We're set for a lovely weekend!
