First post since June 10th?

Yikes. We haven't blogged for a while.
I didn't even post anything on Father's Day. Here you go -
Miles made a very nice wall hook thingy for Tanner. I think we're going to need to build him a special shop to support his new hobby!
We enjoyed our second week of produce from the Clinton Falls Farm. We're splitting a share of goodies with Claire, her baby sister, and her mommy and daddy. Miles' favorite foods so far have been fresh strawberries and raspberries. He enjoyed a radish, too, but those things are pretty hot (peppery) straight from the farm. I made pesto with some of the basil we received and both boys gobbled up their supper that night...let me know if you have any good pesto recipes because I think we're going to get lots of basil this summer!

We also get a small bouqet of flowers each week. Here's what's on our table now -

That's about all of the excitement around here these days. Potty training is going very well but I think we're all a little tired of the 196 trips to the bathroom every day... Good thing we have 4 bathrooms (makes our house sound huge, doesn't it?!). Amazing how much it helps to use a different toilet every half hour - variety is a good thing.
Here's to a cooler (and hopefully less stormy) week ahead!

Sandboxing

Last weekend proved to be a very exciting one at the O-Town Grimmius household. Not only did Miles test out his new undies, but he also got a SANDBOX!!! Grandpa Dave and daddy built it for him while Grandma Doreen played with him. I was around too, but my presence wasn't really needed by anyone (except for the occasional trip with Miles to the potty, which did make me feel important in short spurts).
Here are the big boys prepping the sandbox area -
While they did that, Miles and Grandma had a funny conversation about strawberries.

Somewhere in there a certain little boy lost his shorts. But he found a bunch of flags, so it was all good.

When it was time to nail the boards down, everyone (except me) pitched in to help.
Sand was dumped into the new box one wheelbarrow-load at a time...

And then it started raining! Fortunately the sun came out on (appropriately) Sunday, so that's where we spent most of the day.
No shoes in the sandbox, please.

Super fun!!

And super exhausting.

p.s. Sleeping with a blanket on your head can leave you very, very sweaty. And it sort of makes your mommy and daddy worry a little bit.

Undies!

We're sporting the undies this weekend. So far so good! Just a few dribbles here and there, but nothing major.
Here's his favorite new look -

And mama's favorite look -
Grandpa Dave is here helping daddy build a sandbox for Miles. Grandma Doreen is here playing with Miles and also happens to be doing more than her fair share of assisting with potty runs.... Watch for sandbox photos later!
