Another weekend, please

Who thinks this past weekend went by too quickly?? Ugh. I don't even need to say what happens to the time when you're having fun...I bet hundreds of thousands - no, hundreds of MILLIONS - of people say that every Monday.

Anywho, we had a great weekend! It started on Friday when Claire came over for tacos and cupcakes. Her mommy and daddy came too, but they managed to avoid the cameras. They also successfully avoided getting pink frosting all over themselves - not sure how it happened, but that's some smooth parenting.

Miles and Claire did a fine job of digging out every last toy in this house. They did take a break to go for a bus ride, though. Or maybe it was a train ride. In any case, Claire was in the driver's seat. Watch out!

We went to bed absolutely exhausted, but woke up feeling refreshed and ready for some major play time with baby cousins Ethan and Owen. Owen is a bit more outgoing than his laid-back-I'm-content-to-just-chill brother. Baby Owen doesn't want to miss out on ANY of the action, nor does he want to miss out on the chance to play with a toy that someone else is already playing with....for example:
Miles tried teaching baby Owen the importance of sharing. He quickly learned that baby Owen just doesn't get it (and that perhaps it's not something that can easily be taught on a Saturday afternoon). Fortunately he protected his nose - a good thing, because I saw that baby Owen was ready to go after it.

Uncle Charlie and Miles stood back-to-back to see who was taller. Miles changed positions too quickly so I missed the shot, but this is worth posting. Makes you wonder what was really going on here...

And here's the rest of the crew, except for Grandma Jill. She was either taking a rare potty break (the poor woman doesn't get much time to do anything while we're all there), or she was busy cooking us a wonderful meal.

After Miles went to bed, I joined Charlie/Angie/Dad/Will/Anne at the Gustie men's bball game. They lost. Bummer. But it was a great game! The next day Miles and I hung out at G&G G's house. Miles and Grandpa Dave took a nice nap together. Grandma Doreen gave Miles some frozen blueberries and a cookie...he ate all of the blueberries and only one bite of the cookie. Odd. Unfortunately we don't have any photographic evidence of this particular visit, but we'll be sure to get some next weekend when we return to celebrate Uncle Will's birthday!

Have a great week - don't have too much fun, or you know what will happen to the time.

So fun to see Miles and Claire together!

Thanks for bringing your little boy to St. Peter to play with his cousins and for a good nap with Grandpa Dave.

Wow - I wouldn't have been able to pick Claire out of a line-up...she's changed so much! What a cute little duo. And the pics from St. Peter are fantastic. We miss you all!
