Gasoline?!
Ohhhh, VASOLINE!

The original purpose of this little tub of vasoline was to keep Weston's wienskie moist after his circumcision. It got tucked away in a drawer and was forgotten about for a good year. This new discovery was fascinating for both boys. Here's Miles explaining to Weston that gasoline is yellow because yellow was once his favorite color, and so the guys at the gasoline factory made it yellow.

Miles must have seen someone apply vasoline to his/her lips at some point in his life because he just couldn't stop himself from doing it. And so all day we heard "Mom! I'm putting on some gasoline! You want some, too?" Tanner and I exchanged glances each time (you know, the this is not good kind of look) but rolled with it. Finally Tanner couldn't take it anymore and told Miles that was enough gasoline for one day, then brought me the container and said, "We've GOT to get rid of this." Can you imagine if Weston would get a hold of it?! Or how Miles' face would look after the 182nd layer of vasoline was applied?
Oh goodness. I'm glad we nipped this one in the bud.

How about spreading the "gasoline" on the floor and having sliding races?
Shhhh! Don't even suggest it, Grandma. Unless you're here to clean the grease off my floor!
A friend of mine recently posted a photo on Facebook of her son who's ~3 yrs old covered from head to toe in "gasoline." She commented that she had a new appreciation for Dawn detergent (if it works for oil spills, it'll work for vaseline!) and that their bathtub will forever be slippery. Good thing you took it away!
