Baby Babble

Mr. Miles is off to a good start at daycare. He had 5 naps...two were about 30 minutes and the other three were brief 20 minute snoozers. We're not surprised! He IS the king of cat naps.

Those cat naps, along with guzzling three bottles, proved that it was just another day in the life of Miles. Here's what his report card said about day #1:

"Miles had a great first day at school! He met lots of new friends today. Miles enjoyed time on the floor with the links gym this morning. He also liked cuddling with his teachers and showing them all his facial expressions."

He does have a face full of expressions! Miles can go from serious to smiling to screaming in less than 3 seconds. He's amazing :) Now he's getting in his pre-bedtime cat nap. But prior to this snoring session, he was entertaining us with his wild ways:

Miles' daddy had quite the day, too. When he came home from work, he opened the mail to find that he's being denied life insurance through Cincinnati Life Ins. because of his medical history. Hmmmmm. Medical history? For Tanner? Tanner Grimmius? We all found this to be pretty funny - even Miles laughed! Tanner is trying to figure out what it is that flagged him as a threat to the company. Here's what he's thought of so far:

1. He has some unknown blood disorder that was determined via the brief physical exam (if you could even call it that...) we endured last week as part of our application process. Of course they won't tell him what that blood disorder may be, but he's sure it exists.
2. His pee is too warm (again, from the "physical exam").

3. He peed too much in the cup.

4. He's too skinny (and therefore must eat more Cadbury Eggs before he can be considered as a potential insuree).

5. His unbelievably high stress levels that come from being married to me (when I told him he's sleeping on the couch for that comment, he said, "Can I really???" Nice, honey).

In any case, if this little dispute with the life insurance folks doesn't get settled soon, we're going to have to keep shopping around. My husband is worth millions and I want him covered!
