Lions and Tigers and Bears...OH MY!

Last weekend we ventured up to the Como Zoo & Conservatory with the grandparents Grimmius, Uncle Will, and (we'll call her "Auntie"...she's close enough) Ann. The weather was perfect, the company was lovely, and the cookies after lunch were scrumptious. Oh, and the animals and plants were pretty neat, too :)
Here's a photographic review of the day:
We started the visit with a picnic. Always smart to fill a baby's belly (and mine, too) before starting any major activity such as touring a zoo. Here, Miles plays nicely while the adults get lunch ready.

One of the first stops at the zoo was the aquatics area. We missed the zookeepers' synchonized swimming show by a matter of minutes...bummer! But fortunately the fish were still around for Miles to see. He was fascinated by them.

We also ran into an old relative. He and Miles got along great!

The Conservatory was in full bloom (as usual) and beautiful (as usual). We paused for a few minutes in front of a pond to watch some fish, look at the plants, and take a few pictures.

Grandpa Dave is so funny! He must have been telling jokes about Sparky the Sea Lion.

All of the excitement caught up to Miles as we headed home. What a fun day!

Today we're off to another zoo with the Grandparents Potts, as well as Great-Grandpa C. Reps. Which zoo, you ask? Stay tuned!
