We're here!

The clock reads 9:42pm right now, but really it's 10:42pm. Remember that tonight (well...tomorrow morning if you want to get technical) our clocks spring forward! To those of you with young children who don't understand time changes and seem to have their own little internal clocks, GOOD LUCK! We'll probably be sharing in your pain. Sigh.

Anywho, it was a great day at the Grimmius house because we had absolutely nothing planned. Nothing! Wow, we need more days like today. Miles played outside with the neighbor girls (too windy for Westy), we visited the library to replenish our book supply, went to Target, took long naps, and ate breakfast for supper. Everything about the day was perfect!

Here's are snapshots to show you how else we've filled out time lately:

The boys spend endless hours grooming daddy. It's a lot of work. That's why Miles' tongue is sticking out -- he does that in moments of extreme concentration.
Wrestling... It appears as though Miles is in control during this particular round -
but rest assured Westy can hold his own (maybe with the help of mommy or daddy).
We kicked off the month of March by celebrating Uncle Will's birthday over brunch. I was busy plating the quiche while this conversation was happening, so I am not sure of the details...but it appears quite serious. And maybe related to Uncle Will's fork.
Instead of cake, we had monkey bread. Miles made it and - per Uncle Will's request - added extra monkeys.
We've also been spending a lot of time in the newest area of our house, Miles' classroom. He wants to play school all the time. All. The. Time. His favorite thing about being a teacher? Using a highlighter. And having us look out the window to report on the weather so he can mark it on the weather chart.

It's actually a lot of fun playing school with Miles. Learning his perspective on what a teacher is and what teachers do is quite fascinating. It's evident that he really admires his preschool teachers....and watches their every move :)

Tomorrow is another unscheduled day. Yahoooo! We'll probably venture over to Rochester to run a few errands and let the boys pick up some nasty germs in the play area of the mall. I'll have the hand sanitizer ready. Both boys love rubbing that stuff around in their hands, so we should be all set. Makes a mama proud.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Soon we'll wake up to Monday and wonder where the time went.

Lots of monkeyshines going on at your house, and not just because of Uncle Will's monkey bread birthday treat!
